Introduction to the workshop

This workshop is intended for qualified counsellors and psychotherapists who have either:

  • experience in working with loss and bereavement face to face and intend to move into online working  or
  • experience in online working but who have not worked specifically with bereavement and loss and intend to do so
  •

This day will provide the opportunity to share knowledge and experience and reflect upon:

  • The different types of loss and anticipated loss that we encounter
  • The modalities and theoretical models we use in this work
  • How working with these issues online might be different from what we do face to face, 1:1 and in groups
  • Different ways of working online – media, creative methods, other resources
  • How the digital landscape has changed/is changing how we plan for, research, anticipate, mark, remember, memorialise and manage different aspects of loss - and bereavement, in particular
